Tactical watches with amazing durability.
ArmourLite revolutionized the watch industry as the first manufacturer to combine shatterproof glass construction with tritium
illumination. Designed to meet the demanding needs of law enforcement officers, military personnel, first responders and extreme
outdoorsmen, ArmourLite watches provide the ultimate synthesis of accuracy, durability, and ease of use in all light conditions.
For the first time in watch industry history, the shatterproof sapphire crystal is paired with the tritium-illuminated dial on a military-grade watch thanks to ArmourLite. And because each model contains either a Citizen-quality or Swiss Ronda movement, you can rest assured that the only aspect that could possibly trump these watches’ durability is their accuracy. Worn by EMTs, soldiers, law enforcement, X-Games competitors and many other athletes and celebrities, ArmourLite has left an indelible mark on what heavy-duty horology should be.
ArmourLite manufactures the best tritium-illuminated wristwatches that also feature shatterproof crystals built to handle any circumstances.
As with every brand we carry, WatchCo.com is an Authorized Dealer of ArmourLite Watches.
Of all places that you could find tactical watches prevalent in society, the ArmourLite story actually began just a few years ago in sunny Florida. A group of watch fans wanted to combine tritium and hardened crystals in a perfect watch.
In 2011, many timepiece aficionados saw something lacking in the industry. It seemed to them that you could get a military-grade watch with an illuminated dial that was powered by tritium OR you could get a field watch with an ultra-hard crystal, but you simply could not find both. These are the good folks that launched the ArmourLite Watch Company. 2011 was also the year the company introduced the Isobrite T100 collection. This was the first watch in history that contained both a shatterproof sapphire crystal and numerals and markers on the dial that were powered by tritium.
Needless to say, the introduction of this brand set the watch industry on its collective ear. Imitators scrambled to duplicate what ArmourLite had spent years imagining and perfecting, but it was not easy. Perhaps the biggest shortcoming in the tactical watch industry up until that point was the flimsy crystal that was affixed on each timepiece. While most watches had a crystal hardness of 700 Vickers (the scale used to measure crystal stability), ArmourLite blew the roof off the doors with their 6,000 Vickers rating.
Who Fits into ArmourLite
ArmourLite didn’t market its products much after their release because, frankly, it didn’t have to. Emergency first responders raved about the accuracy of the Swiss Ronda 715Li movement when they needed it most in the ambulance. Military personnel passed along their stamps of approval on the patented mb-mictrotec illumination being clearly readable under the cover of night. And extreme sport enthusiasts were impressed at how impeccable the ArmourLite crystal remained despite the duress they were put through.
While the tritium and sapphire crystal are more than enough reason to purchase an ArmourLite timepiece, when you add in ArmourLite’s custom rubber water sealant ring and its 316L stainless steel case, you end up with an extraordinarily durable field watch. Famous for his work in the Iron Man film trilogy, Hollywood Stuntman Oakley Lehman is an ArmourLite fan. And you can also count Animal Planet channel show Gator Boys’ star Chris Gillette and MMA champion Craig “The Hammer” Oxley among other celebrities that wear ArmourLite watches, too.
